Biography

Shaikh Arifuzzaman is an assistant professor of computer science in the UNLV College of Engineering. He’s an expert in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine-learning (ML) models, as well as scalable high-performance, data-intensive computing techniques.

His research focuses on leveraging these advanced techniques to tackle challenges in data science, AI/ML, and security. Arifuzzaman’s expertise extends to designing algorithms, tools, and methods for supercomputers and GPUs, addressing large-scale, data-intensive problems.

At UNLV, he leads the DiSC Lab that aims for discovery through Data-intensive Scalable Computing and Algorithms.
