Melissa Corral
Biography
Melissa Corral is the deputy managing attorney for the UNLV Immigration Clinic's Community Advocacy Office, a Boyd School of Law community resource that provides free assistance with deportation defense of detained adults and unaccompanied children, DACA renewals, and assisting the UNLV community with general immigration matters.
Prior to joining the clinic in 2022, Corral spent four years at Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada, where she developed expertise in immigration and family law. She was a law clerk to the Honorable Linda Marquis in the Family Division of the Clark County Eighth Judicial District Court and previously worked as a UNLV Immigration Clinic student attorney.
Corral — a native Spanish speaker who was raised in Durango, Mexico — is very active in the community. She serves as president of the Nevada Latino Bar Association, and is a past president of the William S. Boyd School of Law Alumni Chapter. Corral was named among the 2022 Top Rank Attorneys by Nevada Business Magazine.
