Biography

Heidi Shelton is a lecturer who serves as the clinical coordinator for the Comprehensive Medical Imaging Program housed within UNLV's Department of Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences. She joined UNLV's radiography program in 2017 and teaches courses on topics including the physics of X-ray production, advanced techniques in digital imaging, radiographic pathology, and patient care.

A radiologic technologist since 2006, Shelton is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). She is also licensed as a chiropractic physician in the state of Nevada.

Shelton is a current member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists, and serves on the board of directors for the Nevada Society of Radiologic Technologists. She is the faculty advisor for the Student Technologist Association in Radiological Sciences at UNLV.

Shelton is the author of Kowalczyk’s Pathology for Imaging Technologists, 9th ed., and was a contributing author for Radiographic Pathology for Technologists, 8th ed.
