UNLV engineering student Angusman Roy explains his team's senior design project — a small device to harvest little bits of energy from the soil and the sun. The energy is stored in "super capacitors," which can collect large amounts of data. Such a device could help researchers collect data in the field without the use of batteries. Team members also included Sean Crippen, Eduardo Olivares, and Yelthin Orochena.
