Got some extra time in your schedule before the next semester starts? Curious for what lies ahead as a college student? Join us for a tour during winter break — the Office of Admissions is open.
A campus visit includes an admissions presentation, a tour of UNLV’s beautiful campus, and a look inside some of our innovative facilities. You'll also get a glimpse into what it's like to be a Rebel from one of our student tour guides. Escape the post-holiday blues, plan a campus visit, and learn more about the UNLV campus.
Here's a sneak peek at our five most popular tour spots.
Lied Library
One of the largest buildings on campus, Lied Library boasts 2,500 study spaces, 300 computer workstations, and provides countless research and media resources for students. It's also equipped with several technological innovations, including an automated storage and robotic retrieval system capable of storing 1.2 million volumes.
Hey Reb! Statue
The statue of UNLV's mascot, Hey Reb!, is one of the most identifiable spots on campus — and a popular photo op! Rumor has it that rubbing his mustache is good luck, especially before exams.
Student Union
Located centrally on UNLV’s campus, the Student Union is a popular meeting place. It houses food options (sushi burrito, anyone?), a game room, and meeting spaces, so it’s always buzzing with activity. The Student Union also houses the offices for a variety of student organizations, including CSUN — UNLV’s student government.
Dayton Complex (campus housing)
Reserved exclusively for first-year students, Dayton Complex offers double and triple room configurations. This complex, like all campus housing, features wireless internet, premium cable TV, social and game lounges, in-building laundry, and more. Optional special interest floors at Dayton include the hospitality floor and honors floor.
Student Recreation & Wellness Center (SRWC)
From cardio equipment and free weights to swimming pools and basketball courts, the Student Recreation & Wellness Center offers something for everyone. The SRWC also houses the Student Health Center, Pharmacy, and Rebel Wellness Zone providing convenient access to health and wellness services.
Bonus Stop: The Talisman
Don't forget to check out the Talisman Statue on campus — if you can spot the “U-N-L-V” letters in the twisted metal, you’re destined to be a Rebel!
