Jeffrey Ebersole and Katherine Howard (Dental) co-authored “The Periodontal War: Microbes and Immunity,” which seeks greater knowledge about how periodontal disease and the body’s immune system attack and counterattack each other in an effort to achieve homeostasis and maintain good oral health.
