Chelsea Heinbach (Libraries) has been invited to serve on the Education Subcommittee for the State Complete Count Committee for the 2020 census. The subcommittees are tasked with placing intentional and deliberate focus on "low-response" or hard-to-count communities throughout the state.

Cassaundra Rodriguez (Sociology) published an article, “Navigating Space and Racial Microaggressions as an Undocumented Latinx Millennial,” in Currents.  
Alan Simmons (Anthropology) has just published a major article in the Oxford Research Encyclopedia of Environmental Science. The article, "Agricultural Origins and Their Consequences in Southwestern Asia," summarizes some of the consequences, both good and bad, of the Neolithic Revolution. Simmons is a distinguished professor emeritus.
Dr. Jeffrey Ebersole (Dental) co-authored “Heterogeneity of Human Serum Antibody Responses to P. Gingivalis in Periodontitis: Effects of Age, Race/Ethnicity, and Sex,” which appeared in the December issue of Immunology Letters.  
John Crooker and Qingmin Shi (both Decision Support) presented “ACT Readiness Benchmark Indicators and GPA Performance at UNLV ” at the 2020 Nevada ACT Conference, this month.
