Yu Kuang (Health Physics and Diagnostic Sciences) received a $150,000 grant from the Nevada IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence funded by National Institutes of Health for his study “Metabolomics Lipid Profiling for Early Detection of Hepatocellular Carcinoma,” which aims to identify specific lipid molecular species as a multiplexing biomarker for early detection of hepatocellular carcinoma. He also received a $20,000 Faculty Opportunity Award - Innovation Technology for a study focused on hepatocellular carcinoma.
