Yoohwan Kim (Computer Science) recently presented as part of a panel at the “Insight Q3: FinTech in Las Vegas” exclusive event hosted at Switch World Headquarters for key Las Vegas investors and stakeholders leading Southern Nevada’s economy.
The event, organized by the Las Vegas Global Economic Alliance and Cox Business, focused on the strengths, opportunities, and areas for growth in Southern Nevada’s financial technology sector.
Kim shared insights on UNLV’s computer science and cybersecurity programs, highlighting that Las Vegas is prepared to service any technology company expanding to the valley. In addition, Kim introduced UNLV’s StepUp & StartUp (SUSU) program, which connects students with local startups through paid internships, fostering hands-on experience in cybersecurity and innovation.
