Tommy Gugino (Law) and Musa Pam (Facilities) celebrated their graduation from the Leadership Henderson program over the weekend.
Leadership Henderson is a 10-month program, put on by the Henderson Chamber of Commerce Foundation, that educates and empowers professional in the community to build and maintain a strong network of community leaders. The program includes panel presentations from community leaders and experts, hands-on experiences, and the opportunity to learn about issues including the local economy, government, social services, health, gaming, business and education.
In addition, each class completes a class project for local nonprofits. The Class of 2023 selected Positively Arts, a local nonprofit that uses the arts to empower youth with essential life skills, for their project. The class collectively set out to raise $100,000 for the non-profit and by the end of the program, the class ended up raising $132,680.
