Tom Sommer (Libraries) participated in the panel last month at the 2015 Western Roundup, a joint conference of the Northwest Archivists, the Society of California Archivists, the Conference of Intermountain Archivists, and the Society of Rocky Mountain Archivists. The panel, "Tenure: Challenges and Strategies for Archivists," explored the benefits and downsides to faculty status, including a discussion of job performance expectations, scholarship demands, and strategies for achieving tenure.
