Tim Grigsby (Social & Behavioral Health) published an article on "Combined alcohol use and weight status effects on mortality risk among adults: Analysis of the National Household Interview Survey linked mortality files 2001-2015" in the journal Drug and Alcohol Dependence.
Both alcohol use and weight status have been linked to increased mortality risk, but evidence of their joint effect is limited. The goal of this study was to examine the combined effects of alcohol and weight status on mortality using nationally representative data.
