The Office of Decision Support was recognized as the third place winner of the SAS Innovative Problem Solvers award for their efforts in building the new MSI Equity Dashboard. This dashboard was created in collaboration with the MSI Data and Assessment Subcommittee as a way to support UNLV Top Tier 2.0 Strategic Planning goals around assessing student achievement. Within the dashboard, data users can explore student outcomes within four metrics: cumulative GPA, course completion, retention rates, and graduation rates. Vice President of Student Affairs Keith Rogers, Joy Mariscal, Nikolina Pender, and Kanikka Wofford also presented the dashboard at SAS Innovate 2024. Concerning the dashboard, Rogers said, "I am very excited for the creation of this particular dashboard, as it will improve life on campus not only for our faculty and staff, but most importantly our students. UNLV’s central mission is to improve the lives of our diverse students and transform our communities through education and engagement. With better access to data we can only improve the student experience across campus."
