Stewart Chang (Law) was part of a panel discussion and Q&A session with Nevada State Senator Rochelle Nguyen and activist David Kakishiba on August 15 at The Beverly Theater after a screening of Free Chol Soo Lee. The movie tells the story of Chol Soo Lee who was sentenced to life for a 1972 San Francisco murder, and then a death sentence for a self-defense killing in prison, but was later set free and had his conviction overturned. The panel discussed Chol Soo's case; the past, present, and future of AANHPI organizing; and the death penalty.
