Steven T. Bickmore (Teaching & Learning) and co-editors were selected as recipients of the 2019 Divergent Award for Excellence in 21st Century Literacies Award for their publication, Towards a More Visual Literacy: Shifting the Paradigm with Digital Tools and Young Adult Literature.
This award honors those who diverge from traditional pedagogies and research approaches to embrace the spirit of following a road less traveled. An initiative of the 21st Century Literacies Research, USA, the award recognizes the indelible contributions of educators and scholars who have dedicated their careers to the theoretical and practical study of 21st century literature.
Bickmore and co-editors recently presented at the Summit on the Research and Teaching of Young Adult Literature held at UNLV in June.
