Sinyong Choi and Seong-min Park (both Criminal Justice), along with three scholars from other universities, recently published a peer-reviewed article, "The Effects of Emotional Literacy Programs on Inmates’ Empathy, Mindfulness, and Self-Regulation: A Random-Effect Meta-Analysis" in the Prison Journal. Through analyzing the 22 Emotional Literacy (EL) programs, this study found that the EL programs retain potential as an effective rehabilitation strategy. Choi is a Ph.D. Student.
