Shashi Nambisan (Civil and Environmental Engineering), director of UNLV's Transportation Research Center, was recently appointed to serve as a voting member on the Nevada Advisory Committee on Traffic Safety. Nambisan has more than 30 years of experience in developing research enterprises and has led efforts on more than 170 projects, grants, and gifts to develop innovative, technology-based strategies that enhance transportation safety, capacity, and travel time reliability.
