Shane Kraus (Psychology) recently published three papers in the Journal of Behavioral Addictions. The first paper reported the psychometric properties of a new scale developed to assess for problematic pornography use (Validation of a Brief Pornography Screen across Multiple Samples). The second paper, The Development of the Compulsive Sexual Behavior Disorder Scale (CSBD-19): An ICD-11 Based Screening Measure across Three Languages, examined the psychometric properties of a new scale developed to assess compulsive sexual behavior disorder. The third paper, Which Conditions Should be Considered as Disorders in the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) Designation of “Other Specified Disorders due to Addictive Behaviors?” provided recommendations for clinicians to consider when diagnosing behavioral addictions within the ICD-11.
