Sebastian Cardenas (Honors College) recently had his opinion piece, "Waking up in fear every day" published in The Nevada Independent. Cardenas advocates for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program in his powerful piece which discusses his story of being a DACA recipient and the challenges he has overcome. Cardenas is an Honors College student majoring in secondary education and public policy. He is also pursuing the Brookings public policy minor.
