UNLV School of Public Health has secured a State of Nevada, Division of Public and Behavioral Health (DPBH) grant under, “American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Nevada Health Workforce Pipeline Grant” that will award $1,500 scholarships to undergraduate and graduate public health students working on experiential learning projects and intending to work in Nevada. The grant also has provision for graduate summer assistantships. The total amount of the grant is $1 million to be given over the next three years and is being implemented in collaboration with University of Nevada, Reno. The team from UNLV administering this grant is Manoj Sharma (PI), Asma Awan (Program Manager), Chuck Regin (Reviewer), and Bobbie-Jo Trude (Reviewer) (all Public Health). Initially, Erika Marquez, Courtney Coughenour, and Amanda Haboush-Deloye (all Public Health) also helped draft this proposal.
