Satish C. Bhatnagar (Math), in 2021 published two interdisciplinary books that have been in the making for the last eight to 10 years.Vectors in History (Volume II) is an outgrowth of humanistic approach in the teaching of two history of mathematics courses (Math 314 & Math 714). It is a sequel to Volume I published in 2012. Epsilons and Deltas of Life (Volume II) follows volume I that was also published in 2012. Amalgamation of abstract nature of mathematical concepts and abstraction of philosophical notions goes back to the polymaths like Pythagoras in ancient Greece, Rene´ Descartes in the medieval period, and Bertrand Russell in modern times. Contents of these volumes capture common scenarios of life bordering on applied philosophy — a distant cousin of applied mathematics.
