Sajjad Ahmad and Haroon Stephen,(both Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction) along with master's student Usha Poudel, published an article, "Evaluating Irrigation Performance and Water Productivity Using EEFlux ET and NDVI" in the Sustainability journal's special issue Machine Learning with Metaheuristic Algorithms for Sustainable Water Resources Management. This research utilizes various remote sensing products to compute irrigation performance metrics in one of California's major irrigation districts and pinpoints opportunities for water conservation.
