Visiting professor Roberto Lovato (English) wrote a tribute to legendary urbanist and writer Mike Davis, who was also Lovato's friend. "He was one of the preeminent poet warriors of the English-speaking world," wrote Lovato in his Nation Magazine article, adding, "It is a testament to the power of Mike’s thought and passion that thousands of other writers throughout the world would express similar sentiments, even now, at his life’s end."
