Rian Satterwhite (Service Learning and Leadership) gave three presentations at the recent International Leadership Association (ILA) annual conference in West Palm Beach, Florida. A 15-year veteran member of ILA, Satterwhite currently serves as co-convener of the association's sustainability leadership group, which he helped create in 2012. He also served as elected chair of the leadership education group from 2014 to 2016.

His presentations at the conference were:

• "Reflections of Natural Systems: Mental Shifts Involving Time, Justice, and Systems in Leadership Studies," presented with Kate Sheridan, Kathy Allen, MacKenzie Crigger, and Whitney McIntyre Miller.
• "Research Studies on Leadership for a Sustainable World," presented with Elizabeth Nutt Williams, Lindsay Hastings, and Adam Cletzer.
• "Promoting the Sustainable Development Goals for Progress, Peace, and Prosperity," presented with Janis Balda, Eleftheria Egel, Richard Little, and Jessica Rae Ullman.

Satterwhite chaired the last two presentations.
