Rian Satterwhite (Service Learning and Leadership) completed the first year of his two-year term as co-chair of the National Leadership Symposium with the 2018 symposium in Tampa, Florida, earlier this month. The event, a 28-year-old program that draws together academic and co-curricular leadership educators to explore timely aspects of leadership education in an intensive cohort experience, is a partnership between the National Association of Campus Activities and the National Clearinghouse for Leadership Programs. This year's symposium was titled Leadership & Democratic Engagement: The role we play and messages we send.
