Refat Srejon, Timothy Grigsby, Asma Awan, and Manoj Sharma (all Social and Behavioral Health) presented a talk on “Effectiveness of theory-based smoking cessation interventions among young adults: A systematic review” at the American Public Health Association 2024 Annual Meeting October 27-30, 2024, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as part of the APHA Student Assembly session. The talked explained a systematic review which assessed the effectiveness of theory-based smoking cessation interventions in young adults by synthesizing existing evidence. The observed positive outcomes underscore the importance of continued research and implementation of theory-driven interventions to address the complex challenges associated with smoking in young adults. Srejon is a PhD student.
