In celebration of International Open Access Week, the University Libraries has announced five winners of the 2019 UNLV Open Access Awards. This year winners include:
- Brookings Mountain West in the category Non-Academic Departments With The Most Materials in the Institutional Repository
- William F. Harrah College of Hospitality in the category College With The Most Downloads From the Institutional Repository
- Michelle Tusan (History) in the category of Faculty Publication With Most Downloads for her book "Smyrna's Ashes: Humanitarianism, Genocide And The Birth Of The Middle East"
- Bing Zhang (College of Sciences) in the category of Non-Library Faculty Member With The Most Open Access Publications Added to the Institutional Repository
- Marina Georgieva (Libraries) in the category of Library Faculty Member With The Most Open Access Publications Added to the Institutional Repository
This year’s awards highlight open access works and collections in Digital Scholarship@UNLV and their UNLV authors. We looked at the last year’s worth of data (October 2018 - September 2019) to determine each of the winners.
