Rachell A. Ekroos (Nursing) and colleagues from four universities published a policy brief in Nursing Outlook, the official journal of the American Academy of Nursing (AAN), titled “Policy Brief on the Nursing Response to Human Trafficking." Publication of a policy brief in Nursing Outlook is a rigorous process involving review and input from several AAN expert panels who are focused on promoting the health of vulnerable populations and final approval by the AAN Board of Directors prior to submission for publication.
