Quinn Summerfield (Radiochemistry) has been selected as a 2025 Graduate Scholarship recipient by the Roy G. Post Foundation. In a recent press release, the Foundation announced they will be awarding 56 scholarships totaling $310,000 in support of advancing the education of future leaders in radioactive waste management and nuclear fields. Quinn will be recognized with a $7,000 scholarship at the Next Generation Workforce Student Awards & Reception at the Waste Management Symposium (WM2025) for his research titled "Simplified single-solvent process for TRU separation and disposal." The work is supported by a grant from Department of Energy, Environmental Management. His advisor, Artem Gelis (Chemistry), is Principal Investigator of the award.
