Dr. Mandy K. Cohen, director of the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), met with members of the School of Public Health to discuss some of the current CDC-funded projects that they are working on. One of these projects include the Nevada Childhood Lead Prevention Program, led by Erika Marquez (Environmental and Occupational Health), which aims to eliminate lead poisoning in children. Another is an evaluation project led by Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health) called the Reach, Quality, Control, Fidelity, Satisfaction, Management (RQFSM) model for process evaluation.
