Priyambda Kumra, Asma Awan, Ata Laique, and Manoj Sharma (all Social and Behavioral Health), presented their poster, "A scoping review of physical activity interventions in the Latinx community," during the American Public Health Association 2023 Annual Meeting on Nov. 13, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of the Latina/o/x Population Health: Responding to health needs in Latino Caucus. The study identified promotoras and faith-based groups as the key cultural liaisons for an increase in physical activity behavior with a greater impact. Kumra is graduate student.
