Peter Wiens (Teaching and Learning), along with collaborators Christine Zizzi and Chad Heatwole of the University of Rochester, published the article "Instructional Grouping Theory: Optimizing Classrooms and the Placement of Ranked Students." In the article, the authors use a theoretical, mathematical approach to examining the best way to group students and others for learning activities.
