Dr. Nabil Noureddin (Medicine) published his research paper, “MR Elastography-Based Liver Fibrosis Correlates with Liver Events in Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Patients: A Multi-Center Study” in the Liver International Journal. Noureddin collaborated with a team in a multi‐center retrospective study to assess the relationship between magnetic resonance elastography (MRE) and clinical liver events in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease patients (NAFLD). The significance of this study is that it found certain MRE cutoffs to identify NAFLD patients with an increased risk of developing liver-related complications, decompensation, and eventually death.
