Dr. Monique "Flora" Phipps and Fiona Britton (both Dental) have been inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society, Psi Omega chapter, in the Faculty Member and Honorary Member categories, respectively. Faculty member inductees are full-time or part-time teachers at a dental school who have made outstanding contributions to the art, science, or literature of dentistry. Honorary members are non-dental faculty or oral health care providers within the community who have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of dentistry. The honor society inducted one person per category this year. Phipps also earned UNLV’s Rebel Spirit Award in August for demonstrating a commitment to the REBELS Way service philosophy.
