Miklo Alcala, Asma Awan, and Manoj Sharma (all Social and Behavioral Health), presented their poster “Conforming to Filipino male masculinity norms and the effects on psychological well-being” during the American Public Health Association 2023 Annual Meeting on Nov. 14, in Atlanta, Georgia, as part of the Asian & Pacific Islander Caucus for Public Health: APIC Poster Session. The study aimed to assess the role of societal standard conformation, specifically masculinity norms, on the mental health of Filipino males.
