Michelle Light (Libraries) delivered the keynote address, “Liberate Your Content,” at the annual meeting of the Society of California Archivists. In her keynote, she encourages cultural heritage institutions to re-examine their practices for duplication, permissions, and publishing fees to encourage broader use of their materials, compliance with copyright law, and alignment with professional core values.
