Michelle Chino (Environmental and Occupational Health) was the invited keynote speaker at the University of New South Wales annual public health symposium in Sydney, Australia. She presented her work with the Muru Marri Center for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health on the social determinants of health among indigenous populations. She also participated in the Partnerships for Change workshop, attended grand rounds at the Sydney Children's Hospital, and met with Megan Mitchell, Australia's new national children's commissioner. These activities were part of her ongoing work on global indigenous health with a cadre of indigenous scholars from Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and the United States who are working to improve health equity, health measurement, and the health and wellbeing of indigenous youths.
