Michael J. Alarid (History) delivered a public talk at University of Alabama titled, "A Deluge of Violence: What Surges in Homicide and Assault Reveal about the Impact of Regime Change on Everyday People in 19th Century New Mexico and Beyond."
The talk was made possible by the generosity of the Helen Delpar Endowment for Latin American Studies, established by the late Helen Delpar to support both graduate students and a lecture series at University of Alabama, and by the generosity of the University of Alabama history department.
