Michael Don Fraser (Special Collections and Archives) recently published a book review in the Journal of Western Archives, Vol. 13 (2022). He reviewed Advancing Preservation for Archives and Manuscripts by Elizabeth Joffrion and Michèle V. Cloonan. In his review, he called this work a worthy update to the ongoing Archival Fundamentals Series III, by the Society of American Archivists (SAA). The book "offers the reader a broad and heavily sourced framework for understanding the field of archival preservation."
Fraser has been a book and paper conservator at UNLV Special Collections and Archives, since March 2002. Previously, he served in a similar position at the University of Tulsa. He is a past-president of the Conference of Inter-Mountain Archivists.
