Michael Dicaro, Brianna Yee, KaChon Lei, Kavita Batra and Buddhadeb Dawn (All Medicine) published an abstract for their study "Mesenchymal Stem Cell Therapy for Treatment of Acute Myocardial Infarction: A Systematic Review," in the Journal of American College of Cardiology. Dicaro and Yee are the medical residents and Lei is a Cardiology Fellow with the Department of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Dawn (Chair-Internal Medicine) is a clinical noninvasive cardiologist and physician-scientist with research interests focused primarily on heart repair with adult stem cells. Batra is the research director for the Internal Medicine Residency Program.
