Melissa Bowles-Terry (head of Educational Initiatives at UNLV University Libraries) and Erin Rinto (UNLV University Libraries undergraduate learning librarian) recently presented at the Library Orientation Exchange (LOEX) Conference, the premier national conference for those interested in library instruction. Their presentation, "Taste Testing Research Topics: Assessing the Scope and Feasibility of First-Year Students' Research Paper Topics," explored how this student group selected research topics and how those choices informed UNLV's library instruction program.
