Melissa Bowles-Terry (Libraries & Faculty Center) is the recipient of the University Libraries' 2019 Outstanding Library Faculty Service Award. Bowles-Terry nominated for her significant contributions to service to the University Libraries, the UNLV campus, and to the library profession as a whole. Her service significantly impacts student learning, professional development of library and subject faculty, and the role of libraries in universities across the country. In addition to her contributions to library and campus committees and working groups, she chairs the Greater Western Library Alliance Student Learning Outcomes Task Force which assesses and enhances information literacy instruction at 22 institutions. She is also a member of the faculty of the ACRL Information Literacy Immersion Program. Her work directly impacts students, professors, and librarians across the country.
