Holmes scholar Mayra Marquez-Mendez (Educational Psychology, Leadership, and Higher Education) presented at the 2023 Scholarly Consortium for Innovative Psychology in Education Biennial Conference. She presented her poster titled, "A Self-Determination Theory Approach Towards Perceptions of Mentorship Among Science Teachers." This research explores the impact of mentorship practices on in-service science teachers' perceptions of support, with a focus on the connection to self-determination theory. More specifically, this study investigates how science teachers conceptualize mentorship and showcases differences between elementary and middle school teachers' ideas of mentorship.
