Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) coauthored an article titled, “Association between body weight misperception and snacking patterns among adolescents: a population-based cross-sectional study,” in collaboration with colleagues from Chongqing Medical University in the journal, BMC Public Health (Impact factor 4.5). The article found that adolescents with normal weight or obesity who had a misperception about their weight demonstrated unhealthy snacking patterns. Educational efforts to guide teens about body weight perception and snacking patterns are warranted.
