Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) published an article titled, “Relationships among Sleep Time, Physical Activity Time, Screen Time, and Nutrition Literacy of Adolescents: A Cross-Sectional Study in Chongqing, China,” with coauthors from Chongqing Medical University in the journal Nutrients (Impact factor 5.7). The study found that sleep time, physical activity time, and screen time were positively correlated with nutritional literacy among adolescents, especially junior high school students in China. The study recommended that adolescents should maintain 60 minutes of moderate-to-vigorous aerobic physical activity per day, get at least eight hours of sleep per day, and spend no more than two hours per day on video screens.
