Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) has coauthored an article titled, “Food safety-related practices among residents aged 18–75 years during the COVID-19 pandemic: A cross-sectional study in Southwest China,” in the journal BMC Public Health (Impact factor 4.1) with coauthors from Chongqing Medical University. The research found that Chinese men were making inferior food choices during the COVID-19 pandemic and must be targeted for educational interventions. The educational interventions must be based on contemporary theoretical models such as the multi-theory model (MTM) of health behavior change.
