Manoj Sharma (Social and Behavioral Health; Internal Medicine) coauthored an original article titled, “Addressing period poverty through sustainable solid waste management practices in the Indian Himalayas: A qualitative study” in the journal Advances in Medicine, Psychology and Public Health with coauthors from the University of Utah and Spiti Ecosphere. The article highlighted the need for sustainable menstrual waste management in the ecologically fragile Himalayan region to accomplish the success of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
