The office of undergraduate research (OUR) recently held its fall 2020 Undergraduate Research Symposium, which was held virtually. Brookings Mountain West and The Lincy Institute supported several student researchers who were selected to participate, including:

- Kristian Thymianos who presented Las Vegas Metro: Heat and Demographics
- Olivia Cheche who presented LVMPD Statistical Activity Report, September 2020
- Elia Del Carmen Solano-Patricio who presented Neighborhood Change in Las Vegas
- Eshaan Vakil who presented Partisan Change and Population Density of Congressional Districts in the Mountain West
- Peter Grema who presented Venture Capital in Nevada and Visualizing Vulnerable Jobs in Nevada
