On October 5-7, the National Association of Latino Administrators and Superintendents held their annual summit in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Assistant professor Salazar Montoya (Education, LION) presented during a general session: "The National Committee Report for Professional Learning Growth and Development (PLGD)." She also presented with UNLV graduate assistant David Wade on “Reimagining the Leadership Blueprint,” and finally she presented with executive director Ramona Esparza of the Latino Institute of Nevada on “Reconsidering Traditional Superintendent Preparation Programs." This national presence has contributed to the commitment UNLV has made to invest in DEI efforts and the Top Tier 2.0 Vision.
Salazar Montoya will continue to serve as the national chair for the PLGD committee.
