LeAnne Salazar Montoya (Educational Psychology, Leadership, and Higher Education) hosted an enlightening session on the "Latina Radiance Initiative" on April 24. This session was designed to explore the impactful work being done under the Latina Radiance Initiative, a project aimed at empowering Latina women through community engagement, education, and leadership development. Salazar Montoya  delved into the successes and challenges of the initiative, highlighting how it fosters an environment where Latina women can thrive and assert their roles as leaders within their communities.

During the session, Salazar Montoya shared insights from various projects under the initiative, discussed methodologies employed in uplifting the voices of Latina participants, and showcased tangible outcomes that have significantly benefited the community. Attendees gained an understanding of the critical factors that drive the success of such empowerment projects and learn strategies for replicating similar impacts in different contexts.
